Applications engineer software solution – semiconductor industry – France/Germany/Italy

As an Applications Engineer within the EMEA team you will be responsible for data warehouse/digital twin development as well as advanced data analysis, data science and analytics.
Position Overview
- Within the EMEA Applications engineer team, you are the primary interface between the client and INFICON, and must reflect our unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.
- You are responsible for maintaining an excellent client relationship, and for resolving/escalating any problems/concerns encountered.
- Effectively interface with broad range of client stakeholders including operators, process engineers, industrial engineers, fab managers, IT, and executives.
- You will work closely with other members of the Applications engineering team (EMEA, US, Asia).
- You will have frequent communication with Program manager and Key account manager for your sites.
- You will work closely with the software development team including providing feedback on applications, communicating new feature requests, performing QA for new versions, and managing deployments.
- You will be home office based, and travel may be required on average of 30% but will vary based on your projects’ status, up to 50% may be required during critical phases but effort will be made to minimize the duration and/or frequency of trips as possible.
- You will be responsible for data warehouse/digital twin development as well as advanced data analysis, data science and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Represent INFICON FPS to your clients both on site and on remote calls.
- Deploy and support our solutions (Digital Twin, ETL, SQL, Oracle).
- You will train end users, support client change management needs, test client requested application changes, and meet project budget and timeline.
Required Skills
- Team mindset.
- English (professional minimum) + one among French, German, Italian.
- Self-starter with strong self-management.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL (Oracle is a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects at the same time.
- 1-5+ years’ experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
