Laclarée raises 3.5 m€ for its Seed round, welcoming a new shareholder, Rimonci, one of the best investor specialized in vison-care, alongside with its historical investors, UI-Investissement, High-Tech GründerFonds (HTGF) and Business Angels

Laclarée gets financial support from Rimonci, a vision care Venture fund, UI-Investissement (former Kreaxi, France), High-Tech GründerFonds HTGF (Germany) and highly qualified Business Angels. The total amount raised in equity, 3.5 m€, will complement the support of the EIC accelerator (Europe) 2.5m€ financing of the company. Laclarée develops adaptive (autofocussing) eyeglasses for presbyopia correction. This Seed investment will help developing the first commercial product of Laclarée, by mid-2026.

With an exclusive solution that recreates the eyes’ natural autofocus, Laclarée redefines the visual experience

After the age of 45, everyone (that is 2b people worldwide) gets hit by presbyopia and it worsens with age, making it impossible to read, use a laptop or a smartphone or any activity requiring close vision without a dedicated solution. All existing solutions bring compromises and difficulties, even the most advanced ones like progressive lenses. Presbyopia is a natural phenomenon due to eye’s ageing, but it becomes a handicap for a significant number of people unfitted to the existing solutions, leading to visual fatigue, headaches, eyestrain, postural pains, musculoskeletal problems and trouble in realizing critical activities requiring multi-tasking or multiple targets.

Laclarée is developing autofocusing eyeglasses for the millions of people affected by presbyopia, based on an opto-fluidic technology protected by its patented worldwide portfolio. The revolutionary eyeglasses feature variable focus lenses driven by actuating units in each temple and distance sensors. With the combination of those three bricks, the optical correction of the eyeglasses is real-time adapted to the distance between the user and the object he or she is looking at. Laclarée lenses also include the necessary refractive corrections, hyperopia, astigmatism, and myopia, according to the patient prescription.

Laclarée has performed many wearers tests, proving the benefits of the product: retrieving natural focusing. A lot of people prefer to wear Laclarée lenses. Laclarée is now considered ahead of the race for e-focus as it is recognized by leading industry experts.

Thanks to this unique breakthrough, the brand offers fluid, intuitive and effortless vision, adapted to every moment of life. At a time when traditional solutions are struggling to meet the expectations of a world in perpetual motion, Laclarée offers a clear, modern response: discreet yet powerful technology that transforms visual challenges into natural experiences.

We are happy that Rimonci joins our current investors UI-Investissement and HTGF, confirming our global approach of the market. In the past years, Laclarée team has worked hard to seek the wearers feedback and expectations, and the result has turned positive: many presbyopes want to wear Laclarée eyeglasses as their visual correction mean. This Seed round will be key for Laclarée to offer to these customers the first commercial autofocussing eyeglass pair.” said Bruno BERGE, CEO and founder of the company. “We are thrilled to support Laclarée to bring its breakthrough technology to new markets, setting a new standard for presbyopia correction worldwide. This investment aligns with Rimonci’s mission to back transformative technologies in vision care that address unmet medical needs for better vision and insight.” mentions Richel LIU, founder and manager of Rimonci Capital.
