A Power Four Conference reaffirm their confidence in VOGO by deploying the VOKKERO ELITE solution in the League’s 18 university stadiums
VOGO announces the deployment of its VOKKERO ELITE solution in eighteen stadiums of the largest of the Power Four Conferences across the US. Building on its collaboration since 2015 through the VOKKERO EVO and SQUADRA solutions, followed by the VOKKERO GUARDIAN REF systems, this Power Four Conference sought to modernize its audio equipment across its stadiums and competitions by adopting the VOKKERO ELITE solution. The contract also includes linking the VOKKERO O2O to the conference’s, state of the art command centre in Rosemont, Illinois. This order, whose invoicing began in July 2024, amounts to $400K. It runs for one year and includes an option to purchase at the end of this initial period.
The Power Four is composed by the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), the Big 10 Conference, the Big 12 Conference, and the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They are the most prominent athletic conferences in college football in the United States, are part of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I, the highest level of collegiate football in the nation, and are considered the most elite conferences within that tier. They are a multi-sport leagues (American football, soccer, field hockey, wrestling, etc.) that applies strict refereeing protocols, making clear communication between officials essential.
VOGO has been working with the Conference since 2015. The League initially equipped its officials with the VOKKERO EVO and SQUADRA audio solution before moving to the VOKKERO GUARDIAN REF and VOKKERO VARSITY systems.
In this context and in order to remain at the cutting edge of technology, in the summer of 2024, this Power Four Conference decided to equip its stadiums with the latest VOKKERO ELITE solution as well as WII (wireless connection box allowing communication between sites and remote contacts) to ensure communication between the stadiums and the command centre. Designed for officials and referees, these solutions now cover all games and competitions, thanks to kits installed permanently in the stadiums and mobile VOKKERO ELITE kits, which can be adapted to all venues and all officiating procedures.
VOGO provides a turnkey service by training refereeing teams and providing physical assistance for the first 15 matches, followed by remote assistance throughout the competitions.
Commenting on the new contract, Christophe Carniel, Chairman and CEO of VOGO, said: “We are immensely proud to be collaborating for the 9th consecutive year with this Power Four Conference. This renewed trust in our Company demonstrates our strength of innovation and the quality of our proposed solutions. Overall, the good sales momentum seen since the start of 2024 and our international breakthrough have been confirmed in the second half of the year. This growth is further supported by the rapid expansion of our new TaaS (Technology as a Service) model, indicating that we are on the right track.”
Power Four representative added: “When we decided to modernise our league, VOGO’s solution was our natural choice. We have been working with the Sportech for almost 10 years and have always been impressed by the quality and simplicity of the products offered. With this new equipment, our referees and officials can now ensure state-of-the-art competitions.”
