Muodim offers imaging services for inaccessible or opaque structures.
Thanks to these images, our customers can make some decisions in relation to:
- risks management (volcano monitoring),
- operations (stopping a process for cleaning),
- design (process modification through better understanding of functioning).
These services find applications in civil engineering, industry and geosciences.
The team has developed a unique expertise in the world in muography, breakthrough imaging technology (coming from CNRS & IP2i).
Muography imaging is based on concepts similar to those of clinical X-ray radiography, but exploits a different type of radiation, naturally present in the atmosphere: that of muons.
The technology consists in capturing these muons and analyzing the flux as it passes through a space or object, in order to reconstruct images.
